Got a popup saying an update was available, so I clicked to download it and this popped up I've tried a few times now and still get the same, please help Edited to add, I even tried disabling AV |

Oh, that is your AV alright. What AV are you using? Windows Defender? If I recall correctly, one user had to temporarily disable their AV **and** restart the system for it to work. Give that a try and let me know, please. If that doesn't work either we can try bypassing the Winstep Update Manager. We're getting to a point where AV software is actually CREATING more problems than it solves. |

Thank you for your suggestion. I disabled my AV (avast) from startup and rebooted. Unfortunately I am still getting the same message that download failed |

Go to C:\Users\Public\Documents\WinStep\Versions can you post a screenshot here showing the contents of that folder please? |

Cool, thanks! Can you manually unzip ultimate-exe.zip ? Inside there should be a setup.exe and a ReadMe.txt file. |
