Can't help wondering whether I'm getting a whiff of spam coming on here....

You think so? Email address is listed 3 times in StopForumSpam with an origin in Germany. Normally there would be a ton of entries for regular spam bots showing countries like Turkey, China, etc...

If the user does not reply to this in a timely manner confirming or denying he/she is a vile spam bot, I'm going to obliterate this thread and kick-ban the user's account.

Certainly has my nose twitching.... Especially the mention of using content from FemJoy and GoddessNudes sounds rather like leading up to porn spam to follow, somehow. Then again, might be perfectly innocent of course, but still, suspect somehow.

Might not be a bot but a human spammer, email or IP can be almost anything - as for IP, the ones I catch often resolve to India, Pakistan, Indonesia, E. European countries, and others, and sometimes I recognise an IP as a TOR relay. As I can't access users' email address, I sadly can't check with StopForumSpam. But sometimes I notice that spam bots/spammers that you ban use Proton email accounts, usually the free version. These presumably would also be using the free Proton VPN so could be almost anywhere on the planet.

phpBB3.x would eliminate most of the spam.

And now I see the cheeky so-and-so has edited his/her post and removed my mod comment/redaction and inserted a neutral 'alternative wallpaper platforms'. All the same, still suspect and I'll be keeping an eye out....

He's a spam bot, I'm banning him but leaving the thread intact lol. He had an almost invisible URL in the text (which I removed) to el pass or whatever that was.

Ah, that figures - encountering these 'invisible links' quite regularly. He must have added that when he edited the post. I should have checked for that again! Oh well, good riddance to bad rubbish.
