I am using Nexus Ultimate 23.11 with windows 11 Pro-23H2. In the position tab, I have selected the option to attach the dock to the bottom of the screen edge. For the option to keep the dock awlays above the other windows, I selected, "Always below other windows". But I am not able to select items from the subdocks. When I click on the upper arrow besides each sub-docks, it is frozen.
But when I choose "Always above other windows" for the option Keep the dock always above other windows, I am able to open the items in the sub-dock. The down-side of this optiion is that the dock will not always stay below maximized windows, the dock just get covered by the maximized windows.
How can I always kep the dock below maximazed window and be able to open items in the subdock.

'Always below other windows' is in relation to z-order (depth positioning) NOT xy positioning. It could also be rephrased as "Always behind other windows'. If that is enabled every normal window will ALWAYS cover the dock, and since sub-docks inherit the settings of the parent dock, when you open them you won't be able to see them because they will appear BEHIND the maximized window.

What you want is normal z-order (e.g. Same as other windows) and 'Prevent maximized windows from overlapping the dock'.

For the option to "attach dock to which screen edge", I chose left since my last posting. I see a gap between the dock and the window (maximize or unmaximized). Is that expected?
