| Post subject: | Cannot get the Start menu or Winstep to load! |
I only get a shelf and some modules. I was trying to show the Windows start menu in addition to NextStart or whatever it's called that replaces the normal Windows Start and obviously messed something up. Running Neststart.exe didn't help. Now I cannot get either to run. Maybe I need to upgrade? Windows 11, most current version. Ideas? |

First we must determine if NextSTART is running. What happens if you press CTRL+F12 ? If NextSTART is running, it should open NextSTART Preferences. If not, open the Windows Task Manager, go to the Details tab, sort by process name and make sure nextstart.exe is not running. If CTRL + F12 does not work and you cannot find NextSTART listed as running in the Details tab of the Windows Task Manager, go to C:\Program Filex (x86)\Winstep\ and manually launch nextstart,exe Once it's running you should be able to access NextSTART Preferences and check the settings, plus make sure NextSTART automatically runs at Windows start up. |
