I'm using this monitor setup.

2 x 4K / 120Hz screens. Both at 150% zoom. Left is a QDOLED PG32UCDM (Main screen)

1 x 1080p
1 x 1440p
1 x Virtual monitor.

I used these similar setups for years without issues but recently Workshelf's behavior is quite erratic:

- Wrong size often.
- Doesn't pop up when I reach the edge of the screen until I do something with some other window (like restore then minimize) happens a lot lately.
- Sometimes it crashes without warnings and I think I cannot make it pop from the edge just to realize it wasn't running to start with.

I have Windows 11 22H2 23585.1001

Use the standard Taskbar. No Mods.

Here are videos showing some of the issues and also the version I'm in:

Hi!

I think most if not all those issues might be related to screen scaling. While Winstep applications are high DPI compatible (i.e. they will work with a desktop scale other than 100%) they are NOT per-monitor high DPI compatible.

In other words, ALL monitors MUST have the SAME DPI scaling (i.e. all 100%, or all 125%), otherwise Windows will lie to the Winstep application about screen resolution, etc, usually resulting in weird things like what you see in the video.

Hi Jorge.

I understand, however there is no way I can have all monitors using the same scaling simply because the monitors have different sizes.

Monitor size is not related to DPI setting.

Well probably I'm lost in terminology. :)

So, to clarify, I'm not using custom scaling on any monitor.

But yes, I do need different scaling by monitor since they're different sizes and different PPI so I need to match them as close as I can.

Anyhow I have been doing that for years with Workshelf running without issues for the most part (even switching resolutions like a mad man with DisplayFusion). I wanted to report because it has become a lot worse since I installed my other new 4K monitor.

You are muddying the waters with poorly understood terminology. ;) PPI=~DPI. All monitors absolutely have to be set identically at 100 DPI or 125 DPI. The *resolution* of each monitor may vary, but not the DPI.

There's no way I can use my monitors with the same scaling on all of them.

That would make one monitor to display tiny text/objects compared to some other monitor.

Anyhow....I guess I have no option. I'll see how to deal with Workshelf then.
