I use Windows 11. The version is 26H2. The OS Build is 26300.9711. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I have made sure that the admin option was enabled. I made sure that the key was in C:\ProgramData\Winstep\Licenses. I did not copy and put it there. I double-clicked on the Organizer.wsxkey to make Winstep Organizer go to pro. When I open the program, it does not go to pro but only to the freeware version. Please help me.

The stand alone version of the Start Menu Organizer (SMO) is only "compatible" (or useful as it was) with Windows versions up to 7, as it says on the website... after Windows 7, Microsoft changed the way the Windows Start Menu is displayed and started using an internal database instead of the old and trusted folder structure.

Not only that, it expects the license key to be in the old C:\Public Documents\Winstep\Licenses\ folder - which was recently changed to the ProgramData your version of Nexus Ultimate uses because AV programs kept giving Winstep applications hell simply for writing to its own folder under Public Documents.

Rather than do your job as a reliable AV properly, it is simply easier to assume anything that writes to Public Documents can only be malware and then SILENTLY block access so the application itself takes the blame, and not your crappy AV software (by "you" here I mean them, just to make that clear lol)

This said, Winstep Xtreme (but not Nexus Ultimate) ships with an updated version of the SMO that IS compatible with Windows 11, supports the Winstep UI modes as well as being per monitor high DPI compatible.

Problem is, replacing the standalone version in the website with the modern, updated version, will probably result in it not being compatible with old Windows versions anymore. Hard to say because I no longer have those older Windows versions to test here.

This said, given how old those versions are I doubt anybody still uses them, so...

Please give me a couple of days or less and I'll figure something out.
