Ted, another thing that you should be aware of given your question is that NextSTART is
not a shell and was never intended to be used as a shell replacement. NextSTART is meant to run
on top of a shell, be it Explorer, Litestep or GeoShell, etc...
This said, you can still use NextSTART as the shell (heck, you can even use Notepad as the shell
) but you will lose things like the Systray, etc...
In this day and age of multi-megabyte OSs where 256/512 MB of RAM is the norm rather than the exception, I think these type of questions are a bit 'meaningless'.
