Jorge ... not sure this has anything to do with WinStep, but I have searched for the answer elsewhere to no avail. My Desktop icons have completely disappeared, and even without WinStep running (even in Safe Mode), they are GONE! I regularly used WinStep before to hide desktop icons, and would toggle them on/off as desired. But this is the real thing man. Right-clicking the desktop / Arrange Icons By ... does not give me any options (all options are greyed out, not available). Any thoughts?

Definitely NOT caused by Winstep, as Winstep Xtreme hides desktop icons on-the-fly by 'hiding' the invisible Explorer window that acts as their container, not by changing anything in the Windows Registry that might keep desktop icons hidden even when Winstep Xtreme is not loaded.

Sounds to me more like a Group Policy restriction, but check HERE, maybe this page will help or point you in the right direction to solve your problem.
