I know that the desktop theme recycler is skinnable but is the green one that is in Nexus able to be changed? All I see is the green recycler and the black hole. I've tried pointing to a different directory using the advanced skinning but that changes the skin recycler not the one that is in the shelf or the nexus dock. Any ideas?

The 'in-shelf' and 'in-dock' recycler modules are also skinnable (for instance, change the theme to Aero Low Res and you will se the NeXuS and Shelf recyclers change to a glass recycler).

Wether the in-shelf/in-dock recycler will be skinned or not, depends on the existence, in the recycler theme folder, of the following files:

WsTrashES.ico/.png/.tif Empty Recycler Icon.
WsTrashFS.ico/.png/.tif Full Recycler Icon.

If they exist in that folder, WorkShelf will use them to skin the in-shelf/in-dock recycler, if they do not exist, WorkShelf will use the default green and blackhole representations.

You can test this by opening WorkShelf Preferences, navigating to the Themes Manager tab, selecting 'Recycler' from the pull up menu at the top (this will ensure only the Recycler theme is changed) and applying various themes.

Skinning can be quite complicated at first, so you should start by reading the 'Creating Themes' section in the WorkShelf User Guide if you haven't already. Analyzing other themes is also a good way to learn how skinning works.
