Hey, I finally got around to registering the full pack!

QUESTION: I cannot seem to find a config. for "mouseing-over" a WS module in order to restore opacity (i.e. 0% transparency) once it has been assigned a certain transparency . Is there no such function? Thanks.

Thanks for registering! :D

You mean something where the module is semi-transparent but becomes fully opaque *while* the mouse pointer is over it?

No option to do that, but it's actually a nice idea. Don't be surprised if it gets implemented on the next version. :D

Done it. :D

Works great, but let me warn you that it's not compatible with the clickthrough option, since enabling clickthroughs makes Windows re-direct ALL mouse messages (including mouseovers) to the application underneath the module. Because of this, the module never knows the mouse pointer is over it (and thus never fires the fade to opaque event). But if the clickthrough option is disabled, it works like a charm, specially because it does not immediately turn to opaque, instead it smoothly fades to opaque (and fades to the previous transparency level when the mouse pointer moves away from the module).

Once I'm satisfied that there are no bugs left to squash in the NextSTART v3.4 release, I'll release the official NextSTART v3.4 version together with WorkShelf v1.81, the later including this feature and the fixes we've been discussing.

Sounds good. Another question:

I followed the instructions for subscribing to the "Winstep Beta mailing list" .
At one point I was given the option to join the GROUP or the MAILING LIST.
I selected the MAILING LIST since my only aim is to be able to enter the BETA SOFTWARE DISCUSSION forum. I have not received back the ACCEPTANCE.
Does it take more than one day to receive the acceptance? And, will that enable me to enter the Beta forum?

It is a manual process, so it can take more than one day: I have to verify the email addresses. You should have gotten your acceptence e-mail already - but be aware that discussion focus has moved in here these days, so the mailing list has been pretty much dead.
