Post subject: How to switch to minimize all windows, leave desktop?
PostPosted: Mon Apr 05, 2004 11:55 pm
I'm a new user of NextStart, which I like pretty well. My question: I'd like to be able to instantly minimize all open windows and running apps, leaving only my desktop wallpaper showing. I'd like to toggle this behavior so I could revert back to the open-windows state, preferably with a single click or movement.

Can someone tell me how to do this? Thanks.

Raoul,
Minimizing all windows is easy. You can either use the Windows command <win key>+d which will minimize all windows (show the desktop), or you can set up a new hotspot (see the NextSTART help file for instructions) where the Hotspot Action is "Run Internal Command" and the Command Name is "Minimize All Windows". For restoring, you can set up another hotspot the same as above, only with the Command Name "Restore All Windows".
