Cannot reserve Screen Space on primary monitor

I recently purchased Winstep Xtreme 8.9 instead of trying it first, big mistake, I normally try before I buying software.
I got through the hassle of registering it, that was an experience!

After the install it has Workshelf positioned half way down my 24" monitor and I cannot Maximize any windows.
I tried turning off Workshelf and leaving just Nextstart running no dice!
With both Workshelf & Nextstart turned off my windows can again be maximized.

I went into the Global Preferences panel of NextStart and made sure that the Reserve Screen Space setting was set at zero.

Has anyone experienced this problem?

I have sent Jorge a couple of emails, but in the mean time I thought I would post here to see if anyone had this issue.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

Screen problem solved, thanks to Jorge, the man is a genius!
He suggested I checked my DPI setting and that was the problem!
