Did you delete the CTRL+F9 hotspot?

Also, when you exit NextSTART, what are your Windows taskbar settings? Always on top? Auto-Hide? How may task rows? Is it horizontal?

I did not delete the Hotspot (#4)...however, that does not mean I did not mess something up :D At one point I did accidentally change the #0 Hotspot, but I realized my goof and fixed it.

The Win Taskbar is: always on top, does NOT autohide.
One task row (see comment below).
It is horizontal at bottom.

One maybe related oddity. If I apply the theme Atmospherica (one of the first I used and liked), it forces my taskbar to show two rows...and I cannot make it go back down to one by simply resizing with mouse. If I remove "systray" from displayed items, it will go back down to one row.

Other themes (like Aero, and K-Tek 4D) it uses one row always (which is what I want).

Hopefully that helps. And THANKS!

I am wondering if I did really mess some setting up, if I should completely remove WS and re-install it from scratch.

One more thing I noticed on 8.11 b1. A single quick click on apps in the taskbar does NOT always "activate" (maximize or restore) them.

If I wait until the cool Win7 preview box comes up, then it works every time. But sometimes I just quickly click and want the app to show...and it does not. Sometimes a double click works.

Hope that makes sense.

Thanks!

Any chances of a screenshot of your desktop showing the taskbar and the systray? You can send it to the Winstep support address if you don't want to post it here.

Jorge, FWIW, I think there was something messed up with my install (also seeing NextStart hogging cpu and not responding). I removed WS, then re-installed. All appears to be working again, including Ctrl+F9.

Thanks.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Ctrl+F9 has stopped working already. I did not change anything...other than the desktop background, and maybe a Nexus setting for activate on edge screen bump.
