I cannot find a way to make the NS menus auto collapse (not drop-down).
I have to L-click in order to make the menus "go away". Is there in fact a way to make this happen? Thanks.

John, run that by me again please. :-)

NextSTART menus do not 'collapse', so I'm not sure what you mean here unless you mean 'roll up'. What do you want? Not to have a bunch of menus pop up when you run NextSTART (in which case you should disable the Auto Run option for each menu associated hotspot in the Hotspots Preferences tab) or have those menus pop up rolled up (in which case you probably should select 'Auto Roll Up/Down')?

If Auto Drop Down is on then the menus will disappear when you hover
away from the popped up submenu (hovering over another part of
the NS menu but not say over the desktop).
Just move the mouse to a separator or non-submenu.

With Auto Drop Down deselected then yes you have to click the
menus again to make them disappear.

Unless you mean something else.

Marc

This is what I am looking for (with AUTO-DROP DOWN on):

1. Click on START --> main menu appears
2. Hover over (MOUSE-OVER) item on main menu --> sub-menu appears
3. Repeat (2) --> there are now 3 menus visible
4. If I now decide to exit from menus WITHOUT selecting (L-clicking)
anything, all menus remain visible. I would have to L-click on desktop
to make menus disappear.

This obviously is not a big deal. I was just curious whether there was a way to make the menus "auto-disappear" ?? Thanks.

Nope. Specially because you are bound to click somewhere else sooner or later, which will automatically make the menus disappear.
