Had a .wav file set up for it to play when a file was opened from the menu, recently however, I cannot seem to get it too work.

The .wav file is fine and I can hear it within the program (play sound) although doesnt play when preview.

What may have changed?

You are saying that in the Sound and Animation tab of NextSTART Preferences no sounds can be previewed by clicking on the large Play button (the loudspeaker with notes comming out of it) ? I just tried it and it seems to be working fine. Aren't you clicking by mistake on the Preview button at the bottom instead?

The only reason the Play button won't play a file is when that file does NOT exist (i.e. you manually typed it in incorrectly or you added it using the file browser and later deleted or moved the file).

Jorge, the .wav plays within the Sound & Animation Preferences.

Its when I go to the menu list and it doesnt work.

What is the Sound Event that is not working (as listed in the Sound and Animation Preferences tab)? Is it 'Execute Item'? I just tried that one and the 'Open Menu' event and they are both working fine here.

When I open windows and Nextstart opens I can hear the .wav.
