Just to let you know that as of now there is a new private beta out, for registered Winstep users ONLY, that provides flashing tasklist support for W2k/XP users.

Well, if you're a registered NS user then go look in the Beta Software Discussion forum...

http://winstep.skwire.net/winstep/ns3-beta.zip

Just install it on top and read the history file (history-ns3.txt) afterwards to have a full description of fixes and new additions.

Official 3.2 version will be released very soon now - fixing a couple of quirks with NT4 first.

I am using nextstart 3.3 in win2000 and new windows are flasing in tasklist and i would like they don't flash.

Are there some way to do it ?

Some config, some tweak in nexstart or windows registry ?

Thanks in advance.

Seraph.

You mean ALL windows you open begin by flashing on the tasklist?!! Or do you mean only the windows that are supposed to flash, but you don't want them to?

No, Not ALL windows are flashing (blinking) on tasklist, just the new ones, those that steal, "claim" focus on task list.

Example: MSN messages windows.

I don't want they get blinking in winstep tasklist.

Are there someway to set off this ?

thanks

PS: Jorge, do you speak/read portuguese ?

I AM Portuguese!

Now, seriously, everybody (as you can see from the above thread) was hitting on me because MSN windows did not flash on the NextSTART tasklist. Now you're doing the same because they DO flash?! Oh man. :-P

Exactly , i didn't want they flash on tasklist.

Now some words in portuguese:
"Jorge, ? isso mesmo, n?o quero que as janelas novas, como novas conversa??es do msn fiquem piscando na tasklist. Quero uma tasklist totalmente discreta, tem como fazer isso ?"

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for not having replied sooner... This constant spamming of the message board (and me having to manually delete those messages and ban IP addresses) made me overlook your reply.

Currently there is no way to turn off the flashing of the tasklist buttons. I might add such an option for the next NextSTART version, but just for the sake of user choice. :D

Ent?o e ?s Portugu?s ou Brasileiro?

Um abra?o,
