I'm trying to replace a few optimization programs (ObjectDock, Samurize, SpeedFan, Klipfolio) with Workshelf, but I'm running into a few snags:

1. Uptime - I know it's available in NextSTART, but I can't figure out how to add it to Workshelf itself. Am I missing something?

2. Processes - I like to see how many are running, as well as which are using the most memory. Is there a way to do this?

I currently get these with a Samurize configuration. If I could figure these two working in Workshelf, I could stop using Samurize!

Here are a few I hope for in a future build:

1. Systray - I would like to see the systray in a workshelf tab and eliminate the Startbar all together... Maybe a future build? (Can get in ObjectDock)

2. RSS/other feeds - I don't think Winstep Xtreme offers these at all. (currently using Klipfolio)

3. Temperatures - I would like to see key temps (Using Samurize and SpeedFan)

If I could get these in Workshelf, life would be a lot simpler!

Cheers!
Chuck

1 - System Uptime is only availabe in NextSTART. Try creating a new menu, using the built-in Menu Editor, displaying only the system uptime; then associate a new hotspot to that menu so it opens at startup and is always open (let me know if you need instructions on how to do that).

2 - Depending on the skin, the desktop CPU module can list the top x programs using the most of the processor at a given time, and the desktop RAM module the top x programs using the most memory at a given time. Webgizmos Winstep themes make good use of these functions in their CPU and RAM modules.

1 - In a future release, both the docks and the shelf will support the systray. I already have the technology to add this feature for the next release, but, unfortunately, I really don't have the time required to add all the support code that would have to go with such a feature (customization of icons, etc...), so it will have to wait.

2, 3 - Once the release with the new UI is out of the way, Winstep Xtreme will see an explosion of new modules and features.
