I just recently installed the newest version of NextStart and WorkSelf and I like the new little improvements, however I don't necessarily need the tasklist to beep when a new event is out of focus!

The flashing is okay but the beeping is kind of a nuisance  (especially when im playing iTunes). Just wondering if there is a way to disable this event, as I didn't see it in the NextStart settings.

(PS I have disabled and cleared all sound events)

Thanks! :P

Ok, I've added a 'Disable Tasklist Beeping' option to the Sound and Animation Preferences tab. :D

I'm not even sure why I added a beeping in the first place, since the Windows taskbar does NOT beep, it only flashes the taskbar button. Maybe I added it for testing purposes and then forgot to remove it - either way, I'm pretty sure some people are relying on it now, that's why I've added the choice instead of just removing the beep.

Jorge (winstep)

That's awesome! Thank you. So now I just re-install from the same beta link on the winstep site?

No, you will have to wait for the new beta (or final) versions to come out. Very close to it, now. When they do, there should be an announcement here (NextSTART/WorkShelf should also notify you of the new versions if you've left the auto update Notification turned on).

Tsk tsk... Why did you turn it off? Just check the 'Don't show this message again' option in the WorkShelf Auto Update prompt and the thing will still do it's job in the background without hassling you anymore - until an update is actually released, that is. :D
