Hi there,

I just have the standard nexus dock, and I would like to know if there is any way to reduce the amount of space that is reserved for the dock when the option is selected to stop maximised windows overlapping it..

I'm using the afterglow effect, and I am always left with a rather large gap between my dock and the start of the window.

Is there an easy fix for this?

Thanks

Jack

Have you tried it with different dock backgrounds? If you're currently running the Leopard theme, the special 3D dock background is responsible for Nexus apparently reserving more screen space than it should.

Thanks for the quick reply and yes, it was a problem with the leopard skin. Is there any way to fix it or do I have to settle with another skin?

Thanks

Jack

No way to fix it without completely distorting the 3D dock background, unfortunately.

Right,

All the free docks I have found have so many slight advantages over each other, the only bits about nexus that stop it being top by miles are the lack of a stacks docklet and this leopard skin issue!

Great product, though :)

Thanks. There is a freeware stand-alone Stacks application (made by Chris'n'Soft) that will work with Nexus though. Ought to keep you busy until I come up with a native version.

Ok, I fixed this problem by adding a new skinning setting for problematic themes like Leopard. Fix will be part of the next release. :D
