I have just found a visual bug by using the latest nexus installation, under winxp32, ati 4650, Catalyst 09.10

The problem shows over a specific application I am using, though it happens in multiple reversions (autodesk's maya 2008 & maya 2010) - Use opengl for their viewport.

Somehow, it seems that nexus, is reserving the area that the panel would show up, causing redrawing error over the viewport, making the use of nexus really a pain.

You may see what I mean in the following image

Mayble this issue happens in other applications as well.

Nexus developers, may this be fixed ? I am willing to be a beta tester of yours if you want so that you may track the problem and fix this issue.
Looking forward to hearing your feedback.

Best regards,
Tri Stratos

Unfortunately this is a problem between OpenGL and layered windows (i.e. any window that uses semi-transparency). As such, it cannot be fixed except on the display driver level.

As far as I know, layered windows and DirectX can work together in Windows XP. OpenGL and layered windows, on the other hand, cannot work together in Windows XP - but they do on Windows Vista and Windows 7. Time to upgrade your OS, perhaps?
