creating a custom dock buttotn

would realy like a button to a website forum that also gives info on that forum, i can see it's easy enough to create a link button but what about a button that links but also lets you know if there are new posts in the forum?

Sorry, not doable. For one, do you have any idea how many different forum types there are out there? :wink:

This should be a feature of the forum itself (e.g. send you an email whenever there are new posts in the forum).

Vader, you should use the URL that shows you the new posts, and use that as the link button. Clicking on it will show you the posts that you haven't viewed yet.
However, this has to be supported by the forum, and Winstep can't (and won't even try to) implement a feature that checks it.

thanks kutagh thats exactly what ive done, and works well so not so bothered about hover over to see if theres new posts
