On my Sony HD Touchscreen VPCL117FX/B W7 Home Premium My Nexus and Workshelf WS) are not orienting as they should. The screen res 1920x1080p... If I try to get it on the bottom it goes to midscreen and stops. It can dock to the top.

Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q8400S processor (2.66GHz1) with 6GB of pre-installed system memory. 1TB (7200rpm) hard disk drive. NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 240M GPU and 1GB of dedicated video RAM.

Nexus is on the right but up towards the top of the screen despite being set at center (docked).

Any ideas?

Open NextSTART Preferences, Global Preferences tab. In the Reserve Screen Space section, is any of the four values anything other than zero?

No. All are zero.
Another thing: All my browsers will not open to full screen when Winstep is running, but when I exit Winstep, they can assume normal behavior of maximizing.

I have seem this exactly *once* before. Apparently *something* is causing Winstep Xtreme to reserve more screen space than it should.

My guess is that it has something to do with screen DPI.

Does that mean "no solution"?

Don't mean to bother, but any progress towards a solution?

Not really, sorry, been busy with the NextSTART new UI (making great progress on it, by the way - not that it is any consolation to you).

I do have one question, though: did you change the default screen DPI in any way (i.e.; enabled large fonts or something like that)?

No...just installed it. Made no changes in the sizes of icons or fonts.
Good news about the progress with the new UI, though!

Doc, don't worry, it's not forgotten, but even if I manage to fix it I won't be able to issue an update (private or otherwise) until I finish the new NextSTART UI, sorry...

The only thing you can do for now is disable all the Reserve Screen Space/Prevent Maximized Windows from Overlapping... options.

That's ok....no pressure. I know you're doing all this by yourself. I admire you for that, Jorge. Truly.

When it happens, it happens. It'll be ok. ;)

Have you tried installing the latest private beta release available in the Beta Discussion forum? I've fixed an issue that *might* be related to this.
