I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit OS and I have the problem that most icons in the Quicklaunch area are of the blank paper type. Many derive the icons from the Installer but changing to correct path of the exe or an ico file does nothing to change things on NextSTART. Only show desktop and switch between windows have correct icons.

Also some running apps show blank icons also most notably MSIE8. Internet and email on Start menu of NextSTART are blanks also and a few more on various submenus.

Using latest version Winstep Xtreme 9.11 B 5 updated yesterday.

Woah! Are you using any utility to change your icons such as Icon Packager?

Yes, I have it installed but had not changed to any theme as a slow rebuild of the computer with 7 64 bit.

You nailed it though I ran the blank icon fix, rebooted and now NextStart works fine again as before - it was MS update that stopped it I think as it happened over Tuesday night, the search on the Start Menu of 7 has been altered to include Bing also.
