Dec.2 beta release

Why is this beta not posted in the beta forum?

With this new beta, a recently installed Nexus (Dock) background named Leopard Xtreme (3rd party??) no longer shows up under NEXUS DOCK PROPERTIES --> THEMES --> BACKGROUNDS. While it did show up there prior to today's beta install, it never worked properly. That is, it never looked like the one Hedrush & Zaida showed under the forum topic "post your WinStep desktop" (icons sitting on a shelf). I manually installed the theme under the following WinStep folder: Nexus/Bacgrounds/Leopard Xtreme.

Hehe, thanks for the detailed explanation.

The new beta was not posted in the beta forums because it is a PUBLIC beta (available to everyone). In fact, it is recommended that anyone running Windows 7 or a 64 bit version of Windows installs the public beta instead of the older 9.5 official Winstep Xtreme version.

All new features added to the free version of Nexus are also available in the Winstep Xtreme 9.11 and 9.12 versions of Nexus.

As for the Leopard Xtreme theme, being a NATIVE Nexus theme, it should NOT have been installed in 'Backgrounds', but rather in NEXUS DOCK PROPERTIES --> THEMES --> THEMES (i.e.; instead of Winstep/Nexus/Backgrounds/Leopard Xtreme/ it should have been manually installed in Winstep/Themes/Leopard Xtreme). Hope that makes sense.

1. I do not see today's public beta posted in any forum!!!
2. I have Leopard Xtreme manually installed in both directories - since I
was not sure where to put it! Despite this, it does not show up under
Themes!

What am I doing wrong?

What if you open WorkShelf Preferences, go to the Themes tab and then change 'WorkShelf (All Items)' at the top to 'Nexus'? Does it show up now in the themes list?

Does not show up.

I think I may have the wrong Leopard Xtreme theme (or background). As I said, I downloaded the Object Dock one! You say there is a WS native one but I cannot find it. Could you send me a link. Thanks.

Save it somewhere, then right click the zip file and select 'Convert to Xtreme' from the context menu to make it self-installable. Then simply double-click it.
