Running Winstep extreme beta 9.12 on Win 7 64. Anytime I finish a gaming session and return to the desktop, my desktop modules are out of place. Sometimes even my shelf is mid screen, or I actually end up with two shelf's showing. I just use the restore feature and it returns everything to the way I had it before.

Why does this happen? If I turn Winstep extreme off before gaming, all is fine. The problem is, I want to launch my games from the workshelf.

It's because your running your games at a different resolution to your desktop.

When Windows goes to switch to the res required by your game it forces a refresh of the desktop to the new smaller res, and hence winstep moves all your icons.

I go between 4 different monitors/displays on a typical day and have gotten around this by ensuring the modules are places wrt the smallest display, so they don't move :)
