Hello,

I have a question about sub docks, to which I cannot find the answer anywhere. I am using the Nexus dock to hot link several of my most used programs.. I have the “main dock” positioned horizontally at the top of my screen. What I want to happen is for my sub docks to also be horizontally placed just below the “main dock,” when I click on the corresponding icon. However, no matter how many times I right click on the sub dock and choose properties then position, it won’t let me change the orientation to horizontal.
Here is a picture to illustrate the issue. As you can see, the sub dock contains Internet browser links, and I wish it to be positioned parallel to the upper “main dock”

Can you please help me with this issue as it is really frustrating me?

Thanks very much
Chris

Going to reply here instead of to the message you sent to Winstep support.

Two issues at stake here: first you are not supposed to edit the properties of sub-docks (they inherit the properties of the parent dock), you're only able in v10.6 because of a 'bug' introduced together with a new addition.

Anyway, sub-docks are supposed to open perpendicular to the parent tile (i.e.; horizontal docks generate vertical sub-docks which in turn generate horizontal sub-sub-docks). This said, there really is no reason why this must be so, and, in fact, I've been thinking for some time about giving the user the choice of opening sub-docks in a perpendicular or parallel fashion.

So the good news is that you can expect that feature/option to be added to the next release. The bad news is that you will have to wait a little bit until then, sorry.
