Callouts

Another newby question...Is there a way to disable the callouts?

Errr, not sure I understand. What do you mean by 'callout'?

When my curser hovers over and object and stays there for a second a callout pops up with a description of the item. Can I disable that?

Ah, we call them 'Balloon tooltips'. You can disable them, but first I need to know if you are running Nexus or Winstep Xtreme.

Ok, in that case, open WorkShelf Preferences -> Advanced -> Misc.Advanced button -> clear the 'Show balloon information tooltips...' check box.

Note that by disabling balloon tooltips you will also not get the information presented in them on mouse over by modules in your docks/Shelf (e.g.; weather 5 day forecast, number of items in the Recycle bin and their size, etc...).
