On the front page of the site it says :
System Tray and Running Applications
Nexus can optionally display the system tray and a list of the currently running applications on the dock.

Can anyone tell me how to do this please?

Quickest way: right click on the dock -> Insert New Dock Item -> Show System Tray or Show Running Applications.

For system tray settings: if running Nexus free, open Preferences and go to the Effects tab. If running Nexus Ultimate, open the Dock Properties dialog for that dock -> Effects tab.

For settings regarding the Running Applications list: open Preferences -> Task tab.
