On a reboot Winstep appears to load but right clicking on any icon does nothing. Ditto right clicking on desktop. The system hangs on Tip of the Day then whole screen greys out and no response from anything. Eventually get the message "This application has stopped working - Windows"!!! In the end had to restore my main partition from a backup.
Anyone seen this before? Windows has rolled out a bumper number of updates this week including one that informs me it is updating the Windows desktop environment - wondering if anyone else had a problem.

I'm also running Windows 7 64 bit, with the Windows updates installed, and I haven't run into any problems.

What security software (AV, etc...) are you running?

You're running two AV packages at the same time? That is usually a no-no, as both will use low-level hooks that might interfere with each other (and potentially make your system unprotected).

Anyway, try removing Nexus from the Comodo sandbox if you have it there. Comodo is usually very problematic.

Thanks for the advice. I'm pretty sure the problem was caused by Comodo after some investigation and tests. Needless to say it's uninstalled now! Everything running OK now.
