I have installed Winstep Nexus Ultimate (Which i got from Give away of the day), and everything was fine till today.

Today Kaspersky Internet Security Found Trojan (Backdoor.Win32.Agent.azbc) and deleted Nexus-Ultimate.exe

So now am not able to use it. Is it a false positive ?

It's a false positive, started happening yesterday and has just been reported to Kapersky so they can fix the problem.

By the way, been meaning to talk to you about that contest you did on your site - I'll send you a PM.

I also have the same problem like Geekiest, but then I have choose recommended method of Kaspersky, so file NexusUltimate.exe has been removed  . Now I really want to reinstall NexusUltimate, but I only have the license key of NexusUltimate (which I got from Give away of the day), I don't know where to download file NexusUltimate.exe to reinstall. :|

Before going any further, please read the Giveaway of the Day FAQ, particularly the section regarding Installation / Re-Installation.

The best I can do in your case (and please note that I am under no obligation to do so per the terms and conditions of the Giveaway of the Day promotion) is offer you the chance to get the full version of Nexus Ultimate (with free upgrades for a whole year and the ability to re-install it whenever you need to) for only $12.50. That's 50% off the full $24.95 price.

You can also upgrade to Winstep Xtreme for only $14.95, which is a MUCH better deal, in my opinion.

Please send me an email to Winstep support (support@winstep.net) with your GOTD serial if you are interested (and trust me, with nine new amazing dock mouseover effects and a ton of new functionality in the next release, you would anyway when it came out). :-)

Already got a reply from Kaspersky (at least they're fast to react):

Hello,

Sorry, it was a false detection. It will be fixed in the next update.
Thank you for your help.

Kaspersky can be a bit naughty at times (as can all anti virus software), It's been the cause of many problems on my system, after one of its updates it disabled all my the wireless adapters and the only way to rectify it was to uninstall Kaspersky and start again. apparently this is well documented.

That's a cracking offer you are giving to GAOTD users Jorge  . You have to go for Xtreme at that price!

Best Regards

gjbth

It seems it is not only Kaspersky that is naughty. I have just upgraded my free AVG to the new 2011 version and it has done the same thing - quarantined WIN3.Agent.azbc as a malicious trojan. As I also got it from GAOTD, I have now lost a great program too. :(
While I am here, a BIG thanks to Winstep for making the program available through GAOTD in the first place. :)

If youve contacted Kaspersky, youll want to do the same to guys at Chechpoint Software Technologies.

When I tried to reinstall an older version, 8.5, I believe, it identified backdoor files:

Backdoor.Win32.Agent.sjj
Backdoor.Win32.Agent.sjk

and exierenced the same result as the original poster.

Why do I have a feeling that Zosephina is a phishing bot?

Sigh. The funny thing is that I uploaded the nexus.exe executable of the latest version of Nexus to VirusTotal just a couple of days ago and not one of the engines complained, not even Kaspersky.

Want to try the same thing from there to see what happens?

Kaspersky as many others antivirus find a lot of false positives, I personally do not use AV for years, I consider them basically crapware
