Hi Folks,

An awesome program (Xtreme). I think I played with the dem about 15 minutes before I bought it. Nice job!

Now, as someone who is diving right in, how about a separate application which will zap all the settings of every winstep program back to the "as installed" defaults.

Minimal interface, if you want to have checkboxes for which app fine, otherwise it could just wipe out the whole shebang.

Yes, this could even wipe out the customized stuff (installed themes, custom menus, etc.) depending on how you access them - directory listings or whatever.

- OR -

Would you be willing to post the specs for how the info is stored so that we could write our own programs to do this? You could even do this for modules so that we could write additional modules. This doesn't make it open source. But it does then mimic the add-on features of programs like firefox.

Again an awesome piece of work you folks have done here.

John, off to uninstall then reinstall

Errr, in the Advanced tab of each application you have a 'Troubleshooting' button, which resets the settings of that application to installation defaults. It's even in the FAQ. :P

D'OH!!!

Well, since everything was *working* I didn't think to go to the "troubleshooting" section. I just figured that since I was playing around with settings and didn't remember all that I had changed, *that* was what I needed to reset.

Thanks for the quick reply.

John
