Hi
Check out the message by H Seldon. Click the link and get a copy of Audry
It's an alternative. Not French however.

Best wishes

:D

If users start providing their own voice packs, I'll be happy to offer them for download at the Winstep web site.

There is a free Text-To-Speech program named Dspeech located here:

http://dimio.altervista.org/eng/

There are also some free SAPI5 voices, including French. I have only tried the British English Emily voice, myself. It isn't bad. To save text as an audio file, choose "Save wav mp3 or ogg as..." from file menu. I use TextAloud, but I have tried Dspeech, and it is pretty good.

P.S. If you have trouble finding my other post with a link to Female Voice (Audrey), it is in this thread:

viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3798

I think it would be great to offer user-created voice packs for download from this web site. I have other voices I can use. Perhaps a male voice for the female users.

Edit:

It seems that the NewMail voice message for Female Voice (Audrey) in the thread linked to above had been personalized for my nephew. I have de-personalized it, and re-uploaded the file.
