Has anyone else noticed that when you add an item to a dock (unless you just choose "item" and then change the icon you might not actually get an icon to show it?

For example, if I right click the dock, select "Insert New Dock Item" =>"NextStart Hotspot" I have an empty space, and when I click it nothing happens.

Any ideas?

Fwiw - as a feature fo the next release - always force an icon so that *something* shows up.

Err, you found a bug alright, but not the one you are thinking. Whatever 'Add NextSTART hotspot' is doing, it's not adding a NextSTART hotspot.

Right-click on the item and select Item Properties to see what I mean. Now use the combo box to change the item to a *real* NextSTART hotspot and you will see what it should look like.

You're obviously more coordinated with a mouse than I am...

When I right click I get the general "dock properties" menu. No entry for "item properties" like I would get normally.

But at least I know now I'm not going crazy.
