Specifically, the ability to take a directory tree full of shortcuts and have the menu editor build a menu from it.

Not "add a folder item" but actually create a menu. One that I can then add separators to, other internal commands, etc.

For example, in the pre windows 7 days, I would just copy the shortcuts I needed off the start menu, add others as I wanted (to individual files), organize into folders and then just copy that tree back into the start menu.

I think you already do something like this when you build the original install version of the "start menu". This would be takingthat code and splitting it out into a separate stand alone tool.

Create a new blank sub-menu of the main NextSTART menu, open it, and drag & drop your bunch of shortcuts into it.

Ironically, I never thought of that.
