Is there anyway to edit the settings of Workshelf so that when a window is maximized, that it goes to the top of the taskbar, and not to the top of Workshelf? As it is right now it does the latter, and therefore technically isn't maximized. :?

It *is* maximized, but that's not the point. :D

The point is that, yes, sure there is a way: open the Shelf Preferences tab in WorkShelf Preferences and, in the Docked Options section, uncheck 'Reserve Screen Space'.

Thankyou. It worked.

Winstep Xtreme is quite a good looking piece of software. I haven't tested it for very long, but I'll be sticking with it for a while at least. Once I get my RAM upgraded to 1GB, I'll be happy. :D

I just did, half an hour ago. Eat your heart out.

Unfortunately, since you can never be 100% happy, my backup hard disk (an IBM Desktstar 40 GB) started going flakey on me a couple of days ago. That one is already a replacement of another with the same model that also went belly up, almost taking all my data with it (I'm a sucker for backups, so that story by itself is proof that Murphy is always right).

I'm really glad I purchased a new WD 120 GB a couple of months ago, otherwise I could be in trouble now. I still hoped it was a problem with the cable, not the hard drive itself, so I bought a new ATA133 cable but, alas, no... it's the hard drive.

Anyway, what's wrong with hard disks these days? Two 40 GB IBM Desktstars and one Western Digital 80 GB trashed in a couple of years. This never happened to me before - I mean, I still have 130 MB Seagates (ST3144A) running here on my lowest level machine. Those are hard disks almost 10 years old and still run flawlessly!
