In - shelf docks

Don't know if this has been asked, but is there a way to have an in-shelf dock open horizontal to the shelf instead of vertical, if not can it be implemented?

No, currently in-shelf docks always open perpendicular to the Shelf.

Thanks for the quick reply, it would be awesome if they could be opened parallel and sit maybe 1 or 2 pixels above the top/bottom of the Shelf depending on top/bottom screen docking.
