NOOA has permanently moved the URL for getting METAR weather data. As such, the data being displayed is currently being retrieved from Weather.com only, and locations based on METAR codes alone fail to display any weather information.

Here is what EVERYONE needs to do to fix this issue:

1. Right click on the Weather Module.
2. Select Weather Module Settings in the context menu that pops up.
3. Click the Advanced button.
4. Change the METAR Source URL from

http://weather.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/mgetmetar.pl?cccc=

to

http://weather.noaa.gov/mgetmetar.php?cccc=%1

This URL change will also be made automatically in the next release.

Not possible... But do notice how similar they are: NOOA simply removed 'cgi-bin' from the URL.

Are all cities supposed to have a METAR code? And is there a way for the icon to show the sun during the day and the moon at night?

Not all cities have a METAR code (METAR is primarily related to airports, not weather stations). There are many more locations with Weather.com codes than there are with METAR codes. Some have both.

Here is how it works:

1. METAR provides more complete local information than Weather.com.
2. METAR only provides current conditions. Only Weather.com provides 5 day forecasts.

So, for locations that only have a METAR code, forecasts will always show N/A.

For locations that have both a METAR and a Weather.com code, current conditions are retrieved from METAR and forecast from Weather.com.

For locations that only have a Weather.com code, you get a 5 day forecast but current conditions does not include detailed information such as Wind speed, etc... Current weather conditions for Weather.com codes are usually very short, such as 'Obscured', 'Fair', etc...

Icon and temperature information for current conditions is different from the forecast conditions for the same day. The same day forecast only lists minimum temperature (e.g.; night temperature, which is why the first icon of the 5 day forecast is always a moon) and the max.temperature (day temperature) is usually shown as N/A.

Recent WebGizmos themes only show icons for the 5 day forecast - I already warned him about this, as the first icon of a forecast is NOT (or normally won't be) the same icon used for current weather conditions.

The current weather condition icon will show a sun during day time and a moon during night time (unless there is a weather disturbance like rain, snow, thunderstorm, etc..., of course).
