Is there a way to have the original windows right-click-anywhere-on-the-desktop pop-up menu while running NS? Because I'm used to access my display properties from there.

One other thing, can I used the NS theme to work with the whole windows theme (e.g. windows explorer, browser) without another visual styles application (stylexp, windowblinds, etc)? I prefer not to use them. Those apps use to much of my mem resources.

Thx.

You can use the right-click to display a menu. This can be done throught the hotspot pref. screen. It is a little confusing... you need to set the "hotspot area". With NS, there is a bit of a learning curve, but once you get it, it is great.

and no, winstep only skins itself, not windows.

This is actually a 'secondary effect' of hiding desktop icons, by the way. As Paul pointed out, you can create a right click hotspot on the desktop:

1 - Open NextSTART Preferences.
2 - Navigate to the Hotspots Editor tab.
3 - Click 'Add' to create a new hotspot.
4 - Change activation method from 'Left click on Hotspot Button' to 'Right click on Hotspot'
5 - Drag the Magnifying Glass icon so it points to an empty area of your Desktop. 'Program Manager' should appear in the 'Apply Hotspot to' box.
6 - Click on the 'Select Area' button. After a short pause, a cross hair cursor will appear - you can now select the area where you want your right click to take effect. Try selecting the whole screen. :-)
7 - In Hotspot Action select 'Run Internal Command' from the pull up menu.
8 - In the Command Name section at the right, select 'Display Properties' from the combo box.
9 - Press Ok.

You should now be able to run the 'Display Properties' internal command by right clicking anywhere on the desktop, and you've learned in the mean time how hotspots work. :D

Don't worry, nobody ever reads help files! :D

Errrr... I shouldn't say this, lets try again:

You lazy person, the first thing everybody does before running a program for the first time is to read 30+ page help files! Bad, bad!

Damn. I just finished making my dinner ;)

Seriously, I often open the help file and search for skin file names I've forgotten. I haven't read much else though :)
