Hi,

I am using Nexus-Dock now for a while and am more than happy with it :D

One thing I am looking for is now just a way to see removable devices like USB drives or SD cards in the dock and wonder if this is possible. Is there a way to let them appear in the dock automatically when they are connected and letting them disappear the same way when they are removed again?

Man I'd love that, flash drives, expansion drives, digital cameras, and (for me most useful) my Smartphone as well! +1 on this one Jorge :D

Not in the dock. You can do this with the Shelf (tabbed dock) under Nexus Ultimate/Winstep Xtreme, though.

Nice, I'll have to check it out, This automatic (under tasks or main) or do I have to add a different tab?

You'll have to add a 'Drives' type of tab (this displays the contents of the 'My Computer' virtual folder). Make sure you're running the v11.1 beta if you want the tab to update automatically when it's the current selected tab and drives are inserted or removed.

That doesn't make any sense, KrazdKiller.

Docks are 'general purpose' shorcut containers, like the 'Regular' tabs in the Shelf. They don't have a specific function, such as monitoring/displaying the contents of 'My Computer', that some of the special tabs in the Shelf have.

your reading more into my post than what is there. i said i have a shortcut for my flash drive on nexus. i did not say i have one that disappears when i unplug the flash drive.

as for adding the function to nexus it does make sense. if i'm not mistaken isn't one of nexus's main functions to have the users most used items on it? hence why i have recycler, documents, administrative tools, computer, outlook, ie8, firefox, desktop downloads, desktop shortcuts, and sandisk on nexus.

Hey mate. On that 'auomatic' thing... I've added a "network places" tab, and there's some problem, because Windows takes some time to discover all computers on my network, and sometimes it doesn't find all of them. So, I don't know... can we have a "refresh" option in the right-click pop-up menu, that will actually refresh the virtual folder itself, not the tab contents. Also, I sometimes get duplicate entries there. Like, two icons for one computer, and while the "network places" shows one.
Cheers!

P.S. When is that "theme maker" programme due to arrive?

Just click on another tab and then back again - that will refresh the contents (which are provided by Windows, by the way, so blame Microsoft if something is missing... ).

In the imortal words of I-don't-remember-who-anymore, "it will be ready when it's ready". :D

Yeah, that's exactly what I meant... a proper "refresh" option. If I have to open the "network places" window to refresh, that leaves little use for the network shelf. And I *am* blaming Microsoft for being unable to find all of my computers in the network, I'm not blaming you. I just want a refresh thingy. :)

Oh, gotcha now. I currently don't know how to force Windows to refresh it's internal list of Network drives. The Network Shelf tab asks Windows to enumerate the contents of the Network Places folder and displays whatever Windows gives it.
