Hi all :)
I have a couple of little problems with this wonderful Nexus Dock free version:
1) when I open Live Messenger and then I close it from dock task, even if it's closed in the taskbar, in task manager remains locked a msnmsgr.exe process which doesn't happen if I close the application from Windows 7 taskbar.
Then I have to open the windows taskmanager and close it from there.
2) when I open an app from the dock that requires admin privileges, UAC shield appears in the dock task to right low edge screen, and then the successive UAC window exactly in the opposite corner of the desktop, forcing me to chase it with mouse and a twist of the wrist :| ...at least if it opened up in the middle of the screen...and remember you that my monitor is 23" Any suggestions?

the messenger issue i have been experiencing as well. close it from next preview and have to go into task manager to kill it's exe. close it from the preview pain on the windows task bar and it closes out properly.

Ok, but I hope at least that the WLM little bug will be fixed soon...
the second is not really a bug, but more is an annoying inconvenience

The new WLM is an annoying inconvenience all on its own, IMHO...

I agree, but fortunately I have the 2009 version yet :)

I have another little problem with the dock task too; because sometimes when I open a program from the dock, instead opening the window normally, it opens directly iconized into the dock task

I'll look into this.

Hate the new Messenger, by the way.

One question regarding your last point, though: is it always the same program or is it a random thing? Also, you mean a shortcut in the dock, NOT a shortcut in the 'running applications' side of the dock, right?

Sorry, I meant in the running application side. It rarely happens with windows system windows like power options and only with IE window open. However the worst problem is with messenger and also a little bit is that with prompt UAC uncomfortable positions on-screen, as I described before

I have found another problem: when I restart the pc custom icons on the Nexus dock appear as blue question marks and I have to go to restore them in the dock's preferences and press ok or apply.

What do you mean by custom icons?

If, after a restart, you right click on one of the shortcuts displaying the blue question mark and select 'Dock Entry Properties', what is the path to the Icon in the Item Properties dialog box? Does the icon show correctly in the Item Properties dialog box?

Also, fixed the MSN Messenger close issue. At least here it's closing properly.

Ok, wait, didn't fix the MSN Messenger problem after all - turns out it was closing properly already. Difference is, I'm running the latest (2011) version here.

So, I guess it closes as it shoulds provided you are running the latest version. Since all I have is 2011, there is no way for me to test the closing procedure with the 2009 version of Messenger.

KrazdKiller, what MSN version are you running?

Ok Thanks Winstep for replies.
for custom icons mean that I changed myself, that is not the default installation of the dock. But what I think is also a problem of my PC with the themes after restart... Where I can find the fix for Messenger...maybe it could work on 2009 too...

Thanks, but I think you haven't answered my questions yet?

It would be possible to enlarge a little the preview windows of the running apps on dock when mouse hover?
