As a long time user of ObjectDock, RocketDock, etc... I have finally decided to pull up my sleeves and figure out WinStep Nexus Dock.

After reading many user experiences and seeing the amazing support these forums offer, it was an easy decision to purchase the Nexus Extreme (full version.) I installed it on my computer but did not know enough to make it as useful as my old ObjectDock (which is chock full of bugs they refuse to fix, rant rant rant). I am determined to make this dock work for me.

I understand that I must give up some of my favorite docklets:
- Weather FlyOut (way cool but is not very accurate)
- Battery Status (I use one that looks like a fuel gage)
- Animated Icon (I used the Cubism Style Ball and linked to Google Earth)
- Interactive Volume Docklet made by a guy named Jonas Rask
and Lastly:
- The Stacks docklet. (Yes I know there is a portable version, but it is not as clean as the version in the ObjectDock)

I am currently working with the free version of Nexus Dock on my wife's laptop. I noticed a BUG. I don't know yet if it exists in the extreme version as well.

» I like the feature to 'Open Folders as Menus' and it seems to be working fine. I dragged and dropped My "Computer" into the dock and it gives me the option to 'Browse' (really cool) BUT if I use Nexus to 'Insert New Internal Command' and add the My Computer to the dock, the Browse feature is missing.

» Bug: If I change the Icon the useful 'Browse' feature breaks.

Nexus WinStep 10.9
w7 Home Premium 64bit
Very clean install, almost nothing running.

Has previously mentioned, focus will soon be on adding a lot more modules/docklets, so it's just a question of being a bit more patient.

The Weather Flyout is just a bit of a gimmick. You get the same information in Nexus (weather forecast) by mousing over the weather module icon.

Yes, a native Stacks docklet is high on the to-do list. In the mean time, keep in mind that both Nexus Ultimate and Winstep Xtreme support nested sub-docks.

That's because Internal Commands are not the same as actual virtual shell folder items. But you are right, so I added the browse option for the 'My Computer', 'Network Neighbourhood', 'Printers','Show Desktop Folder', 'Control Panel', 'Recycle Bin' and 'Show Fonts' internal commands.

It did indeed. Fixed, thanks. :D
