OK, think I may have it solved.

I removed the modules, specifically, the clock but never changed its setting.

That may resolve it.

1. Right-click the NeXus symbol on the Dock.

2. Left-click on Preferences.

3. Click on the Sounds tab.

4. You can either change the voice to male, or mute it.

5. There are more settings on the Modules tab. Make sure the Clock entry is highlighted before attempting to make changes.

Thanks,

There is no "mute" option, only male/female

Went into Clock module (its hilited), Advanced & Module specific settings

Under Advanced: clicked ~ disable sounds for this module

Under Module Specific Settings: clicked ~ Time Announcements ~ never

When there is no module on the desktop selected, specifically, this clock, do the settings still run in the background?

Thanks

You guys are going so far for something so close: when you right click on the clock module, there is a 'Disable Time Announcement' option right there *in the context menu* (under 'Say the Time').

The other way to do this is setting the Time Announcement interval to Never, in the Clock Settings panel (this affects all clocks, by the way).

Removing all clock modules from everywhere (Shelf, Dock, Desktop) will also disable the time announcement, of course.

Oops, sorry. I meant to add the mute part to where I pointed you to that section and should have stated that it doesn't say mute.

Silly me!! I should have checked. It's been ages since I've seen a clock module LOL. I don't have it enabled since I use a clock program on my System Tray, but I do have the time announcement enabled.

When you say remove do you mean delete? As I stated above, there is no clock module enabled and I have the clock announcement enabled. I removed the clock from the Dock and closed the Desktop Clock Module. Thankfully the voice announcement remains intact.

holy hell ... that voice just told me the time again.

I only have active the shelf & dock, I created my own dock.

On the shelf, Ive gone through the settings as mentioned above. I move down the menu and I have all sounds clicked off, just to isolate where this female voice is ocming from, not deleted.

I just want to mute the biatch.

Anyone ?? thanks

Just to confirm:

If you right click on the Clock Module, then select 'Clock Settings', in the window that pops up, is 'How often would you like the time announced?' set to 'Never'?

I right click on the clock, open settings and the Time Announcements are off. Under the settings for the "what type of announcement do you want to hear?" and there is nothing checked in the box's.

There is still womens announcement that says "the time is ..."

I just registered to say I have the same problem, I disabled the sound and the announcement everywhere I could but it still keeps repeating the time
It's so annoying that I feel like cutting the bitches throat at this point
Fwiw I've been using nexus over a year now and it only started to do this a couple of days ago.
Please do something or I will have to uninstall it, it just really pisses me off every 1 hour

All you have to do is right click the clock module on the dock and select 'Disable Time Announcement'.

If that is disabled and you *still* hear the announcement, then, most likely than not, you are running Nexus together with Xtreme or Nexus Ultimate. Open the Windows Task Manager and check for nexus.exe running together with nexus-ultimate.exe or workshelf.exe in the Processes tab.

here comes the surprise:
it's disabled, as I said (along with disable all sounds in the preferences)

I checked the task manager, there's NO workshelf.exe or nexusultimate.exe (I don't even have those installed afaik)

if you want a quick cheat set you announce times to 0 am and 11 pm. it will only announce once in 24 hours.
