I just downloaded this dock for the first time to replace my quicklaunch bar.
So far I love everything but one thing.

I have it docked at the top with auto hide and i have it set to auto hide fast.
I set it to activate on screen bump and I have tried it without but it always seems to take about a second or two of me moving my mouse around or slamming the mouse in the screen edge to get it to un hide.

I feel like i have to fight with it to get it to show up which of course is not going to work out in the long run.

I found the setting "popup dock on mouseover" and checked that along with the delay slider setting to 0ms because i always want it to popup the instant i mouse over the docks window space, much like the task bar does.

How ever it doesnt seem to change a thing i still have to fight it to open

Running Windows 7 enterprise 64 bit

Am i just not configuring it correctly?

What you need to do is set the 'Edge Bump Delay' to Short in the General tab of Preferences.

The 'Popup dock on mouse over' delay is for when the dock is visible, but partially behind another window, and you mouse over the visible part - the dock will come automatically forward after the delay you specify. If you then mouse away from it, focus is given back to the window that previously had it.

Anyway, this is another classic example that you can't please everybody: set the Edge delay to short, people start complaining that Nexus pops up when they don't want it to, set it to take a bit longer, and the opposite happens.

Ok that makes sense as to why it did not seem to make a difference.
Thanks for the quick response.
I have tried it on short but it just wasn't fast enough.
That is ok though because instead i moved it to the bottom of my screen and just set it to always be on top and open. So Far that is working best for me.

Really like the product, Very well put together, its not often I run across free software that works as well as this.

Thanks.

In the shortest delay setting, it takes about 100 ms to respond (1/10th of a second). That's so fast that it is virtually impossible to distinguish between it and an immediate response.

Perhaps you should try playing with the animation speed setting then, also on the General tab - among others, it controls the speed of the 'slide' animation.

That just made my day!
I had the animation speed to slow.
I ended up just turning off the animations and as you said its practically instant.

Thanks again. :P
