Hi everyone, relatively new Nexus user here. I did a quick forum search but wasn't able to find what I was looking for.

Basically, what I want to know is if I can customize the "notification" flashing an object takes on.

For example, in my dock, when my Pidgin client or outlook client gets a message, it cycles transparently on and off. However, I find this effect to be way too subtle and I can often miss that i received a message entirely.

Is there a way to toggle on other effects such as customized flashes or even bouncing in the dock for when the application is trying to notify you?

Not currently, for now flashing is all you get (although I wouldn't call it 'subtle'), but using another selectable effect from those available is already high on the to-do list.
