Today, after installing Windows 7, not installing ANY other program I installed Nexus Dock. Unfortunately, the problem still exists: (

Sorry, I really have no idea on what could be causing that.

Has anyone else reading this ever suffer from the same problem?

Yeah, I have that problem all the time. I have to use WIN key to get the taskbar to show.

Sometimes only taskbar disappears and sometimes both Nexus free dock and taskbar disappear.

EDIT
For me it's mostly happening like when I work in some software (does not matter which one) and I want to see desktop so I press Show Desktop (WIN + D) and everything is fine my desktop appears with dock and everything and now when I drag some icon on desktop, paste new file on desktop, even try to rename an icon, dock and taskbar disappear. Btw, I just updated to 11.5 and that problem is still there.

It's nice that I'm not alone:)

Version 11.6 - still a mistake.

Pawel, you didn't mention anything in your posts about pressing WIN+D.

By pressing the Win + D does not have any problem.

Only when I am pasting the files on my desktop, explorer disappears

Ok, the following has just been brought to my attention, although the poster asked me to remain anonymous:

"I remember this was a bug of a BETA version of Seven because it happened also to me (can't remember well but I think it was RC2). I couldn't make any change to any item on the desktop without making them disappear and then only something that returned an active status to Explorer could bring them back (as it happens with them: pressing the Win Key gives an active status to the taskbar which is part of Explorer)."

"I think this is not related in any way with Nexus nor Winstep Xtreme. If it was, lots of other users should be reporting this bug, don't you think so?"

So, based on this feedback it seems one or both of you are still running a 'beta' version of Windows 7 and forgot to mention that 'minor' detail.

In that case, case closed as the issue is with your versions of Windows 7 and not a problem in Nexus or Xtreme.

Very well, but look at it this way: one of you does not have a problem when pressing WIN+D, the other does, but only after pressing WIN+D. Nobody else is complaining, and I can't reproduce this problem here.

This to me means it's probably something specific to your system. What it might be, I have no clue, only you guys can play with your system/settings to try and figure out the culprit.

Have you tried reproducing this on other machines not running the same 3rd party software? Keep in mind, even if this was related to Nexus itself, I can't fix it until I can reproduce it here.

Don't worry. I don't mind this problem. I just thought I would write a few comments because I saw an open thread about this.

Also I think clicking the Show Desktop button in the bottom right corner or pressing Win + D is the same thing.

Ah, finally a clear video, thanks hmmka! :D

So, it doesn't happen when you drop the item into the Desktop during a 'Show Desktop' session, but when you *edit* the item. Ok, *now* I have a real clue to what might be happening in this case - but this only explains the dock and the Shelf disappearing, NOT the Windows taskbar disappearing, Pawel.

It's defo Nexus problem. I just reacreated that problem five times in a row. Then I closed Nexus and did the same steps five times again but everything was normal. The taskbar didn't disappear.
