Hi, I have two problems with the Nexus Dock:
- When I paste file to desktop, explorer hides
- How to disable activation of the dock when I eats at the upper edge (I use autohidding)

I use Windows 7

Regards, Pawel, Poland

(sorry for any grammatical errors, I use Translate :) )

Sorry, forgot to reply. Which version of Nexus are you running?

Exactly what do you mean by 'when I past file to the desktop Explorer hides'? You mean Explorer crashes?!

As for disabling dock edge bump activation, open Nexus Preferences, go to the Position & Behavior tab and check 'Disable Edge Activation' in the Behavior section. Please note that a dock hidden into the screen edge can always be shown again by bumping the screen edge, regardless of the 'Disable Edge Activation' setting.

Sometimes (not always) when I paste the file on my desktop, explorer is hiding.

Is it possible to do so that the Nexus is not activated when the application is open?
For example, when I open a browser and typing a Web address, random mouse moves over the upper edge and I can continue typing the address. It is cumbersome.

I hope you know what I mean:)

I really have no idea what you mean by 'Explorer is hiding', sorry.

As for the edge bump when the dock is hidden, you can increase the edge bump delay in the General tab of Preferences so 'accidental' bumps are less common.

The edge bump must remain active when the dock is hidden, otherwise how would you suggest it should become visible again?

Explorer Crash.

But then I have to wait a long time when I deliberately want to show the Dock.

Nexus does not even show up, but somehow "activated" under the application.
(I can see it with Aero)

Ok, then please provide as much information and be as detailed as you can possibly can:

Do you mean when you drag an item from the dock to the Desktop?

If so, does it happen every time and with every shortcut you drag?

Can you please give me an example of a shortcut you are dragging to Explorer from the dock?

There is an English expression that says 'You can't have your cake and eat it too'.

And you didn't give any suggestions on how to solve the issue. :P

Pawel, a video is a VERY good idea, but:

1. That video's resolution is so very very bad that I nearly can't make head or tales of what is happening there.

2. I didn't see you dragging any shortcut from the dock to the Desktop.

3. I didn't see Explorer CRASH either, only the Windows taskbar not being visible at the beginning of the video (I can't see clearly, and even if I could I would not understand Polish, but I assume you clicked 'Refresh' on the Desktop right click menu, right?)

In the Nexus General tab of Preferences, do you have it set to 'Hide Windows Taskbar'? Also, is your Windows taskbar set to 'Auto-Hide'? I think that's the problem you've been trying to point out all this time, isn't it?

I hope that now I was able to show everything properly :)

Later I'll add another video (describing my second "problem":))

Sorry. Hosting the film quality deteriorates. I hope that something can be seen, if not - write. I'll try to come up with something else

It's pretty hopeless trying to see something in that video.

How about uploading it to Youtube?
