I read where you say Winstep works just fine with Litestep. I always assumed I had to have one or the other.

There is a Litestep theme that I love but I have given it up for Winstep Xtreme. Putting the two together would be great but how would it work? Won't I have two of everything (Start Menu, Startbar, Taskbar, System Tray, etc.)?

What's the Litestep theme? Maybe someone can make a port of it. :D

Anyway, I don't use LiteStep, and, to tell the truth, all the feedback I have comes from Litestep users who also use Winstep software - and it's been quite a while since I got any. Whether things still work properly or not, is up for grabs - nothing like you trying it out and letting us know. 8)

If Litestep is able to emulate Explorer in the key areas, then you shouldn't have a problem. If it is not, then you are likely to run into problems with thousands of other programs as well...

Yeah, you're right. I tried it and it doesn't work at all well. Back to Winstep Xtreme! The Litestep theme I wanted is "Obsidian".

Hey, don't think you can get away with a simple 'doesn't work at all well'. What happened? :D

It doesn't like me removing the popup.dll for one thing. Once I did that I couldn't use the taskbar on either program. And I'm not sure how to remove the taskbar portion of Obsidian. I prefer the Winstep taskbar.
