I just installed Qsoft RAMDisk and I found that if I enable "Hide Windows taskbar" option, I can not get NeXuS to show up at Windows startup. And my Windows taskbar would show up like the image below, the startup icon is invisible.

I have to lanuch NeXuS manually to make it working again.

I use free version 11.2 and my system is Windows 7 64-bit. I also have Objectdock in my system and it works fine without the above problem.

The fact that the orb is missing means that Nexus did run, but then silently crashed for some reason.

Not sure why that is happening (will have to look into it), but try putting a shortcut to Nexus in the Startup program group of the Start Menu instead of using the built-in 'Run Nexus at Windows startup' option.

Please let me know if that solves the problem and you are thus able to use the 'Hide Windows Taskbar' option again.

I tried the method you mentioned but still got the same problem.

Sometimes I get it to work after I change the "path of Windows Temp files" back and forth between my real drive and ramdisk. But the problem happens again after next boot up of system.

The ramdisk software have a trial version if you want to review this problem.
