ok first we have... nexus dock, when using the "show running applications" we can hover over a running programs icon and have a window preview pop up just like in windows 7 with a close button and everything but i would like to see these "preview boxes" have better transparency plus a close button that actually closes the open program without a duologue popping up giving the "not responding" thing. :)
secondly when using the show star menue your start menu appears where it would normally be, so just have it appear in the area of the "show start menue" icon is, better yet have a choice... either locked start menu or unlocked in dock properties, the shift+click to open another instance like in the windows task bar, and a much better digital clock, one to resemble the windows vista/seven clock

First, I'm not even sure what you mean by 'better transparency' here, second, I'm pretty sure the close button in the thumbnail preview works fine for everybody else.

The 'Not responding' dialog should only pop up if the application/window ignores the close command. In your case, are you saying that it appears for every window you try to close via the little red button in the thumbnail?

And that is how it happens in XP and Vista. Unfortunately, Microsoft decided that their Windows 7 Start Menu was 'so special' that it could not be moved elsewhere on the screen. If you do, the menu stops repainting properly, and now you would be here complaining about that instead (and thinking the Start Menu repainting problems were a bug in Nexus instead of a limitation imposed by Windows).

So, both me and ObjectDock's developer, for instance, came to the same conclusion (and we did talk about it): the only solution is to have the menu appear at the original location on the screen under 7.

If you enable the 'Do not launch multiple sessions' option and then shift-click on a shortcut in the non-taskbar section of the dock, that is exactly what happens.

Anyway, having a Windows 7 taskbar mode for the dock is high on the to-do list.

You mean a digital clock like the one you see in this screenshot?

Wait for v11.5 to be released. :P

awesome :D
wow do i feel embarrassed, and i missed the "T" off "start"
what i meant for the "better digital clock" part was... in an icon dock the digital clock is either tiny or looks out of place, so the win7 style would be awesome.
the close button... i always get the not responding pop up so if everyone else has no trouble then no problem there :)
ok let me see if i can explain what i meant about better transparency,

as you can see this is the windows7 preview feature the box around the actual thumbnail is transparent enough for you to see where the text is underneath,
but the docks preview feature "box" is almost opaque in comparison if you know what i mean?

this is part of my desktop i know its not the best looking thing in the world but it would be great if the clock could be included in the system tray, but in the style of win7 plus others (have them changeable via editing or a select a style feature)
something like that :)
