Well, I looked at the screenshots you sent me and not only did I not see any porn, as I didn't see the 2 pixel gap you claim to exist between the Shelf and the screen edge with the Shelf is fully expanded either.

So there! :P

I used older versions of Nexus Dock without having this problem. I uninstalled the latest version and installed Ver. 10.09.0920. The problem disappeared without changing any settings. I found that, fortunately, I had backed up the old 10.09 installer to an external HD.

I'll just keep using the older version. When a new version is released, I'll try it. If the problem returns, I'll go back to Ver. 10.09 until a version is released that doesn't have this problem.

Damn, mate, I didn't say there's a 2 pixel gap between the shelf and the edge, I said there's a 2-pixel gap between the edge and any other programme, which is being occupied by the collapsed shelf!

Since this is not a 'problem' and is by design, this behavior will be there in every new version from now on. You'll be locking yourself out.

Sincerely, I really don't understand what the problem is, other than a tremendous reluctance on your part to adapt to a slightly different new behavior. After all, why would you want the dock on top of a maximized window unless you are going to use it? And, if you do use it, the dock does not go away automatically.

It only goes away if you mouse away from it - so do you mind explaining your problem with this behavior to me, because I really don't understand it?

Ahhhh, doh! Well, in that case, it's by design! :P

Well, in that case, those two pixels, when the shelf is deployed, don't count as "mouse over shelf", that's why the shelf hides straight away, if the mouse stays in these two pixels, irrespective of transparency!
Can we rectify that, somehow?
